SINGLE-CELL GENOMICS

We offer a wide and growing range of genomics applications for single cells, including RNA-seq, gene expression profiling by qPCR and DNA amplification for whole-genome or targeted (exome or PCR-based analysis). Applications are supported by the Fluidigm C1 Single-Cell Auto Prep and in conventional multi-well plates using FACS (cell sorting) combined with low-volume, automated liquid handling.

New developments – The expert teams are setting up new infrastructure for different Single Cell Genomics workflows that will become available as a service:

  • Fluidics pipeline 1: Custom built droplet fluidics platform
  • Fluidics pipeline 2: A new single cell flow-sorting and customised liquid handling robotic pipeline,enabling integrative (epi)genome and transcriptome analyses of the same single cell. The unique new flow-sorter designed for single cell analysis is costed. The liquid handling robotics for this pipeline are funded by the VIB.
  • Fluidics pipeline 3: A platform for rare cell isolation (dielectrophoretic cage array microfluidics system)

Single-cell DNA sequencing

The C1™ Single-Cell Auto Prep system is an automated solution for single-cell genomics research. It employs microfluidic technology to rapidly isolate, process and prepare individual cells for genome and transcriptome analysis. With the instrument you can isolate cells, stain them and prepare template for sequencing or qPCR. The Biomark HD system is a multipurpose real-time PCR system that performs genotyping, gene expression profiling, quantitative real-time digital PCR (qdPCR), and single-cell analysis.
