Introduction to DNA Sequencing Technology and Genomics Data Analysis Workshop

Genomics Core Leuven and Millenium Institute Chile iHEALTH invite you to a half-day introductory workshop on the fundamental concepts for understanding and analyzing genomics data.

This workshop is designed for students, researchers, and anyone curious who wants to gain the foundational knowledge needed to embark on their first sequencing project.

What You’ll Learn

Get an overview of the genomic sequencing workflow, covering:

  • The latest sequencing technologies
  • Practical considerations for library preparation protocols (WGS, RNA-Seq, Targeted, and Single-Cell)
  • An introduction to sequencing data analysis
  • Long-read De Novo Assembly considerations

The session will conclude with an “Ask the Team” Q&A, where you can get answers to your most pressing questions about sequencing.
